At the February meeting, the trustees of Bensted’s Charity awarded £20,000 in grants to support community projects led by local organisations and individuals who live in the charity’s benefit area.

Grants were made to: Abbey Physic Garden, Age UK Faversham, Cinque Ports Rowing, Faversham Assistance Centre, Faversham Pools, Faversham Strike Force, Hernhill PTAFA, Mothers of Invention, Oare Gardening & Allotment Society, Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Selling Primary School, Take Off (at Millfield Allotments), and West Faversham Community Centre. Two grants were made to individuals; one for assistive technology and one for support for education.
